Experience making original glasses using the traditional craft "Edo Kiriko

~Easy experience of Edo Kiriko, a traditional craft with a history of 200 years~

Let's try "Edo Kiriko", which is carving a carving on a glass!  First, choose your favorite from 10 types of cups. Using the pattern model as a reference, write on the cup with a marker. After looking at the teacher's example and finishing the explanation, it's time for the real thing! Let's actually make cuts carefully on the surface of the glass. Gently press the glass against the sharpener and carve the pattern. Let's carve your favorite patterns and letters.

Even clumsy people are welcome! We are proud of the "quality" of the finished product. The  Edo Kiriko experience involves some delicate work, but you can rest assured that the instructor will carefully guide you from the beginning and support you during the work. Many people are surprised by the beauty of the finish and the high quality. Even if you are clumsy, you should be able to create works that you are satisfied with. You can put the finished glass in a box and take it home. An original glass carved by yourself is perfect as an anniversary gift or present!

Also as a reward for yourself!  Edo Kiriko glasses create shadows depending on how the light hits them. The process of making it can be fun and fulfilling, but you will be soothed by the way it looks when you use it or display it in your home. Reward yourself for working hard every day. Use it every day, look at it every day, and enjoy the beauty of Edo Kiriko at home.
