Courage French Fusion Restaurant

Easy

Enjoy a lazy evening in this cozy gallery/restaurant, headed by an expert in French cuisine.

Courage’s philosophy is to create a comfortable space where fashion and art converge with unpretentious, sustainable French-inspired cuisine.

At the entrance to this restaurant in the Azabu-juban district of Tokyo is a multicolored floor-to-ceiling mural by the contemporary painter, Tsunahisa Ogino. The shop’s interior has warm, subdued lighting and a relaxed atmosphere.

The most popular menu item is a sandwich made with Kasumi duck from Nishizaki Farm in Ibaraki Prefecture and seasonal truffles. Nishizaki-raised ducks have a characteristic aroma and light texture thanks to their free-range environment and mineral-rich feed. Served with truffle sauce and duck broth, the meat is both light and flavorful.

In keeping with the establishment’s focus on sustainability, the beef used at the restaurant is exclusively Jinseki wagyu from Hiroshima Prefecture, chosen not just for its succulent texture and marbling, but also for its environmentally conscious cattle-rearing methods.
