A unique lunch experience in Iya! Enjoy Higashi-Iya's traditional soba-making and grind your own buckwheat on a stone mill. Lunch includes other local Iya dishes, such as vegetable and meat tempura. (Lunch without soba-making is also available)
Venture into the mountains of Higashi-Iya’s beautiful countryside for this unique cooking experience with the locals. Grind buckwheat kernels from scratch to make soba flour and noodles, then enjoy them fresh with mountain vegetable tempura and other dishes that highlight the culinary delights of the region. As a special “dessert”, you can even hear a folk song sung live for you that tells the stories of the women of the past who milled soba flour in Iya.
The meal will be served in a traditional style restaurant with an open hearth.
