Nose ARATA Kaiseki Restaurant

2小时

簡單

For a kaiseki meal served in idyllic countryside surroundings, this hillside hideaway is well worth the short trip from Kyoto or Osaka.

Nestled in the countryside an hour east of Kyoto or north of Osaka, Nose ARATA is surrounded by mountains and terraced rice fields.

Seasonal delicacies, such as game from local hunters (even bear meat in winter), are procured from the surrounding villages. Produce naturally farmed in the pure water and air of the Nose area bursts with nutrition and flavor, and is key to the popularity of the numerous vegan and vegetarian options.

The restaurant's links with the local environment and community of producers means that every meal tells a story of the surrounding region—the seasonal omakase course meals are a 10-chapter homage to the place and its people.

Reservations are required, as Nose ARATA accepts just two groups of diners each for lunch and dinner. English and French-speaking staff members are available to assist diners.
